Introduction
The 4115 is a continuous conduction mode inductive buck converter designed to efficiently drive single or multiple series-connected LEDs from a voltage source higher than the total LED string voltage. The device operates from an input supply voltage range of 4.5V to 30V and provides an externally adjustable output current of up to 1.2A. Depending on the supply voltage and external components, the 4115 can deliver output power exceeding 30 watts.
The 4115 integrates a power switch and a high-side output current sensing circuit, which uses an external resistor to set the nominal average output current. A dedicated DIM input accepts DC voltage or a wide range of pulse dimming signals. Applying 0.3V or lower to the DIM pin shuts down the output and transitions the device into a low-current standby state.
The 4115 is available in a SOT-89-5 package.
