Introduction
This series of dual-channel low-side MOSFET drivers is manufactured using BiCMOS/DMOS process technology, offering efficient power utilization and high reliability. These drivers translate input logic levels from TTL or CMOS into output voltage swings, with outputs capable of swinging to within 25 mV of the positive supply or ground. By comparison, bipolar devices typically swing only to within 1V of the supply voltage. The drivers are offered in three configurations: dual inverting, dual non-inverting, and one inverting plus one non-inverting output. They are designed as drop-in replacements for the HX426/427/428 and MIC4426YM-HX series, delivering superior electrical performance and robustness. These drivers feature exceptional durability, capable of withstanding reverse currents up to 500 mA (either polarity) without latch-up, and the ground pin can tolerate noise spikes up to 5V (either polarity). These drivers are primarily intended for driving power MOSFETs, but are equally suited for driving other loads requiring low impedance, high peak current, and fast switching times. Additional potential applications include driving heavy-load clock lines, coaxial cables, or piezoelectric transducers. Note that the total power dissipation of the driver must not exceed package limitations. For high-power and narrow-pulse applications, refer to MIC4426YM-HX.
