BORN BX7805IA

The BX78xxA series is a group of multi-configuration fixed-output three-terminal positive voltage linear regulators. With adequate heat sinking, they can deliver output currents up to 1A, and feature internal current limiting, short-circuit protection, thermal shutdown protection, and output transistor safe operating area protection, making them relatively rugged. Although designed as fixed-voltage regulators requiring no external components, these devices can also be used with external components to obtain adjustable voltages and currents. As a result, the BX78xxA series is widely used as fixed-voltage regulators, including local regulators, to eliminate noise and power distribution issues associated with single-point regulation.
