The MAX3070E is a single-driver and receiver RS-485/RS-422 transceiver with 3.3V supply and ±15kV ESD protection. These devices integrate protection circuitry to ensure the receiver output is logic-high when the receiver inputs are open or shorted to ground. If all drivers on the terminated bus are disabled (high-impedance), the receiver output is logic-high. These devices integrate a hot-plug capability to eliminate spurious transitions on the bus during power-up hot-plugging. The MAX3070E features a driver with reduced rise time, supporting data rates up to 250kbps. The MAX3070E receiver input impedance is 1/8 unit load, allowing up to 256 drivers on the bus.
