Introduction
This 8-bit non-inverting translator is a bidirectional voltage-level translator designed to establish digital switching compatibility between multi-voltage systems. The IC features two independently configurable supply rails: Port A supports an operating voltage of 1.65V to 3.6V and tracks the VCCA supply; Port B supports an operating voltage of 2.3V to 5.5V and tracks the VCCB supply. These capabilities accommodate both lower and higher logic signal levels while providing bidirectional translation between 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V voltage circuit nodes. When the output enable input is driven low, all I/O ports enter a high-impedance state, significantly reducing quiescent current consumption. To ensure the high-impedance state is maintained during power-up or power-down, the output enable pin should be connected to ground through a pull-down resistor.
