Introduction
This 4-bit inverting level translator is a bidirectional voltage level translator designed to establish digital switching compatibility between multi-voltage systems. It features two independently configurable supply rails: Port A supports an operating voltage of 1.65V to 3.6V with Vccs supply tracking; Port B supports an operating voltage of 2.3V to 5.5V, also with Vccs supply tracking. These features provide support for both lower and higher logic signal levels while enabling bidirectional translation between 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V voltage circuit nodes. When the output enable input is driven low, all I/O pins are forced into a high-impedance state, significantly reducing quiescent current consumption. To maintain the high-impedance state during power-up or power-down, the output enable pin should be pulled to ground through a pull-down resistor; the minimum value of this resistor is determined by the current sourcing capability of the driver.
