Introduction
This 4-bit inverting translator is a bidirectional voltage-level translator designed to establish digital switching compatibility between multi-voltage systems. It features two independently configurable supply rails: Port A supports an operating voltage of 1.65V to 3.6V (tracking VccA supply), and Port B supports an operating voltage of 2.3V to 5.5V (tracking VccB supply). These features provide support for both lower and higher logic levels while enabling bidirectional translation between 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V voltage nodes. When the output enable (OE) input is driven low, all I/Os are forced into a high-impedance state, significantly reducing quiescent current consumption. To maintain the high-impedance state during power-up or power-down, the OE pin should be connected to GND through a pull-down resistor; the minimum value of this resistor is determined by the current sourcing capability of the driver.
