Introduction
The LM66100-Q1 is a single-input single-output (SISO) integrated ideal diode, which is an ideal choice for various applications. This device contains a P-channel MOSFET that can operate within an input voltage range of 1.5V to 5.5V and supports a maximum continuous current of 1.5A. The chip provides support by comparing the voltage of the CE pin with the input voltage. When the voltage of the CE pin is higher than the input voltage, the device is disabled and the MOSFET is turned off. When the voltage of the CE pin is lower, the MOSFET is turned on. The LM66100-Q1 also has a reverse polarity protection (RPP) function, which can protect the device from input wiring errors, such as reverse battery installation. Two LM66100-Q1 devices can be used in an ORing configuration, and the implementation method is similar to that of dual-diode ORing. In this configuration, the device transfers the highest input voltage to the output while blocking reverse current from flowing into the input power supply. These devices can compare the input and output voltages to ensure that the internal voltage comparator successfully blocks the reverse current. The LM66100-Q1 is packaged in a standard SC-70 package and has an operating junction temperature range of -40°C to 150°C.
