Introduction
CJ74HC/HCT573 is an 8-bit D-type transparent latch with three-state outputs. The device features a latch enable (LE) and an output enable (/OE) input. When LE is HIGH, input data enters the latches. Under this condition, the latches are transparent and the outputs change state each time the corresponding D input changes. When LE is LOW, the latches store the information that was present at the inputs before the HIGH-to-LOW transition of LE. A HIGH on the /OE input forces the outputs into a high-impedance off-state. Operation of the /OE input does not affect the state of the latches. Inputs include clamp diodes, enabling the use of current-limiting resistors to interface inputs to voltages exceeding VCC.
