Introduction
The TLV7011/7021 (single-channel) and TLV7012/7022 (dual-channel) are micropower comparators that operate at low supply voltages and feature rail-to-rail input capabilities. These comparators are available in an ultra-small 0.8mm × 0.8mm leadless package and a standard leaded package, making them suitable for space-constrained designs such as smartphones and other portable or battery-powered applications. The TLV701x and TLV702x offer an excellent combination of speed and power, with a propagation delay of 260ns and a quiescent supply current of 5μA. Thanks to this combination of fast response time at micropower levels, power-sensitive systems can monitor fault conditions and respond quickly. These comparators operate over a supply voltage range of 1.6V to 6.5V, making them compatible with 3V and 5V systems. Additionally, these comparators do not exhibit output phase reversal during overdriven inputs and with internal hysteresis. These features make this family of comparators well-suited for precision voltage monitoring in harsh, noisy environments where slow input signals must be converted to noise-free digital outputs. The TLV701x has a push-pull output stage capable of sinking/sourcing milliamps of current, enabling LED control or driving capacitive loads. The TLV702x has an open-drain output stage that can be pulled up above VCC, making it suitable for level shifters and bipolar-to-single-ended converters.
