The SNx4HC573A devices are octal transparent D-type latches featuring 3-state outputs designed specifically for driving high-capacitance or relatively low-impedance loads. The buffered output enable (OE) input can be used to place the eight outputs in either the normal logic state (high or low logic levels) or the high-impedance state. In the high-impedance state, the outputs neither load the bus significantly nor drive it substantially. The high-impedance state and increased drive provide the capability to drive buses without interface or pull-up components.
