Introduction
LP7801 is a single-chip solution IC designed for small-capacity lithium battery charge/discharge applications. It integrates a linear charge management module and an ultra-low-power synchronous boost discharge management module, with built-in power MOS, externally programmable charge current, and a maximum charge current of 1A.
LP7801 integrates charge indication, input overvoltage protection, battery temperature detection, and constant-temperature power function. On the discharge side, it provides a boosted output of 5.1V with a load current capability of 500mA, standby power consumption of 1uA, and EN control functionality — asserting EN can fully shut down the output voltage. Built-in overcurrent and over-temperature protection, operating frequency of 1.2MHz, supports 2.2uH small inductor applications. It offers a simple and easy-to-use solution for small-capacity lithium battery system applications.
