Introduction
TMP175 is a high-accuracy, low-power digital temperature sensor designed to replace NTC/PTC thermistors for temperature measurement in communications, computing, consumer electronics, environmental, industrial, and instrumentation applications. Over the normal operating range of -40°C to +125°C, the TMP175 provides temperature accuracy of ≤ ±0.5°C with excellent linearity. The rated supply voltage range is 1.4V ~ 5.5V, with a quiescent current of less than 40μA during active temperature conversion. The on-chip ADC provides a temperature resolution of 0.0625°C. The TMP175 is offered in an 8-pin MSOP/SOP package compatible with the LM75, and supports SMBus and I²C interfaces. Up to 2⁷ or 8 TMP175 device addresses can be supported on a single bus. The device provides an SMBus alert function.
