Introduction
The AD8302 is a filterless, ultra-low EMI, Class D mono audio power amplifier. At 1KHz input and 5V supply voltage, the maximum output power is: 5W (2Ω load, THD+N ≤ 10%), 3W (4Ω load, THD+N ≤ 10%); total harmonic distortion plus noise is less than 1% across the audio range (20Hz - 20KHz). The AD8302 features a simple application circuit requiring minimal external components to deliver high-quality output power. No external coupling capacitors, bootstrap capacitors, snubber networks, or feedback resistors are required at the AD8302 output. The AD8302 is available in SOP-8/MSOP-8 packages, making it particularly suitable for portable systems with limited space and low volume requirements. The AD8302 can be placed into shutdown mode via control input to reduce power consumption. It incorporates an internal thermal shutdown protection mechanism. The AD8302 operates stably and is unity-gain stable. The amplifier voltage gain can be adjusted by configuring external resistors for application flexibility.
