HGSEMI DS1302ZDQ3/TR

The DS1302 is a trickle-charge real-time clock chip incorporating an RTC/calendar and 31 bytes of non-volatile static RAM. It communicates with a microprocessor via a simple serial interface. The RTC/calendar tracks seconds, minutes, hours, days, day of week, months, and years, with automatic date adjustment for months with fewer than 31 days and leap year correction. The clock supports 24-hour format or 12-hour format with AM/PM indication. The 31 bytes of RAM are available for temporary storage of critical data. Synchronous serial communication simplifies the microprocessor interface, requiring only three lines: RST (reset), I/O (data), and SCLK (serial clock). Data can be transferred in single-byte or multi-byte (up to 31 bytes) format. The chip features extremely low power consumption, drawing less than 1µW to retain data and timekeeping information.
