Introduction
The FT93C46A series is a 1024-bit serial EEPROM. When the ORG pin is connected to VCC (or left floating), the device is organized as 64 words × 16 bits; when the ORG pin is grounded, it is organized as 128 words × 8 bits (1 byte). The device is fabricated using a proprietary advanced CMOS process, suitable for low-power and low-voltage applications. Available in standard 8-pin SOP, TSSOP, DIP, and UDFN packages. Its extended VCC range (1.7V to 5.5V) enables use across a wide range of applications. The FT93C46A is enabled via the chip select pin (CS) and accessed through a 3-wire serial interface consisting of data input (DI), data output (DO), and serial clock (SCL). Upon receiving a read instruction at DI, the address is decoded and data is serially clocked out through DO. The write cycle is fully self-timed, and no separate erase cycle is required prior to writing. Write cycles are enabled only when the device is in the erase/write enable state. Once the device initiates its self-timed programming sequence, the DO pin can indicate ready/busy status by asserting CS high.
