Introduction
AD620ARZ - REEL7 is a low cost, high accuracy instrumentation amplifier that requires only one external resistor to set the gain, with a gain range of 1 to 10000. It is available in 8-pin SOP and DIP packages, smaller than discrete circuit designs, and features lower power consumption (maximum supply current of only 1.3mA), making it ideal for battery-powered and portable (or remote) applications. The AD620ARZ - REEL7 offers high precision (maximum nonlinearity of 40ppm), low offset voltage (maximum 50μV), and low offset drift (maximum 0.6μV/°C), making it an ideal choice for precision data acquisition systems such as weigh scales and sensor interfaces. Its low noise, low input bias current, and low power consumption characteristics also make it well suited for medical applications such as ECG and noninvasive blood pressure monitors. The input stage uses Super Beta processing to achieve a low input bias current of 1.0nA maximum. The AD620ARZ - REEL7 features a low input voltage noise of 9nV/√Hz at 1kHz, 0.28μVₚ₋ₚ noise over a 0.1Hz to 10Hz bandwidth, and input current noise of 0.1pA/√Hz, making it an excellent preamplifier. It is also well suited for multiplexed applications with a 0.01% settling time of 15μs, and is low enough in cost to enable an instrumentation amplifier per channel design.
