Introduction
The AD8552 series amplifiers use a patented fast-settling choppers stabilization technique to provide input offset voltage correction, achieving ultralow offset and drift. This approach continuously measures and compensates for input offset, eliminating drift over time and temperature as well as 1/f noise. This design breakthrough enables the devices to achieve a 1.5 MHz gain-bandwidth product and a 1.2 V/μs slew rate while consuming only 125μA of supply current. These devices are unity-gain stable and exhibit excellent PSRR and CMRR. The AD8552 series is ideal for applications requiring precision amplification of low-level signals, where error sources cannot be overlooked even under high bandwidth and fast transient response requirements. Rail-to-rail input and output swing simplifies both high-side and low-side sensing. The AD8552 series operates from a single supply as low as 1.8V, making it suitable for dual-battery applications. The AD8552 op amp features enhanced EMI protection to minimize electromagnetic interference from external sources, along with high ESD protection (5-kV HBM). All versions are specified to operate over the extended industrial temperature range of −40°C to +125°C.
