Introduction
EM74HC244 and EM74HCT244 are 8-bit buffers/line drivers with 3-state outputs. The devices can be used as two 4-bit buffers or one 8-bit buffer. Two output enable inputs (1OE and 2OE) are provided to control four 3-state outputs independently. When nOE is HIGH, the outputs are disabled to a high-impedance state. Input clamping diodes are included, allowing the use of current-limiting resistors to enable input interfacing with voltages exceeding VCC.
