Introduction
The SN74HC/HCT153 is a dual 4-input multiplexer. The device features individual enable inputs (nE) and common data select inputs (S0 and S1). For each multiplexer, the select inputs choose one of four binary inputs and route it to the multiplexer output (nY). When the E pin is HIGH, it forces the corresponding multiplexer output LOW. The inputs include clamping diodes, which allow input interfacing to voltages higher than VCC using current-limiting resistors.
