Introduction
The MAX3093 is a quad differential line receiver designed to meet the requirements of RS-422, RS-423, and Federal Standards 1020 and 1030 for balanced and unbalanced digital data transmission, while maintaining the low-power characteristics of CMOS. The device offers 200 mV input sensitivity over a ±7V common-mode input voltage range. Built-in hysteresis improves noise margin and suppresses output instability caused by slowly changing input waveforms. Independent enable pins allow separate control of each receiver pair. The three-state outputs provide 6 mA source and sink current capability. The MAX3093 is pin-compatible with the DS3486.
