Introduction
The C2000 32-bit microcontrollers are optimized for sensing, processing, and actuation to improve closed-loop performance in real-time control applications such as industrial motor drives, solar inverters and digital power, electric vehicles and transportation, motor control, and sensing and signal processing. The C2000 family includes both high-performance and entry-level MCUs. The F2803x series MCUs integrate the performance of the C28x core and Control Law Accelerator (CLA) with highly integrated control peripherals in low pin-count devices. This device family offers code compatibility with legacy C28x-based code while providing a high degree of analog integration. An on-chip voltage regulator enables single-supply-rail operation. The HRPWM module has been enhanced to support dual-edge control (frequency modulation). Analog comparators with a 10-bit internal reference have been added and can be routed directly to control PWM outputs. The ADC converts across a full-scale range of 0V to 3.3V, supporting ratiometric operation with VREFHI/VREFLO references. The ADC interface has been optimized for low overhead and latency.
