The S-8252 series incorporates a high-precision voltage detection circuit and delay circuit, serving as a protection IC for 2-cell series-connected lithium-ion/lithium-polymer rechargeable batteries. The S-8252 series is ideally suited for protecting 2-cell series-connected lithium-ion/lithium-polymer rechargeable battery packs against overcharge, overdischarge, and overcurrent.

- Overcharge detection voltage n (n=1,2): 3.550 V ~ 4.600 V (5 mV steps), accuracy ±20 mV (Ta=+25°C), accuracy ±25 mV (Ta=-10°C~+60°C)
- Overcharge release voltage n (n=1,2): 3.150 V ~ 4.600 V, accuracy ±30 mV
- Over-discharge detection voltage n (n=1,2): 2.000 V ~ 3.000 V (10 mV steps), accuracy ±50 mV
- Over-discharge release voltage n (n=1,2): 2.000 V ~ 3.400 V, accuracy ±100 mV
- Discharge overcurrent detection voltage: 0.050 V ~ 0.400 V (10 mV steps), accuracy ±10 mV
- Load short-circuit detection voltage: 0.500 V ~ 0.900 V (50 mV steps), accuracy ±100 mV
