Introduction
The ZJG4438 and ZJG4439 are analog multiplexers, where the ZJG4438 contains eight single channels and the ZJG4439 contains four differential channels. These multiplexers provide fault protection. Through an optimized design, both the device and signal source are protected simultaneously in the event of overvoltage or power loss. The multiplexers can withstand continuous overvoltage inputs from -50 V to +50 V. Under fault conditions with power off, the multiplexer inputs (or outputs) present an open-circuit state with only 2 nA of leakage current. This protects not only the multiplexer and the circuits it drives, but also the sensors or signal sources driving the multiplexer. The ZJG4438 switches one of eight inputs to a common output according to a 3-bit binary address lines A0, A1, and A2. The ZJG4439 switches one of four differential inputs to a common differential output according to 2-bit binary address lines A0 and A1. Each device has an EN input for enabling or disabling the device. When disabled, all channels are turned off. The ZJG4438/ZJG4439 are available in SOIC-16 and TSSOP-16 packages with industry-standard pin-compatible configurations.
