Introduction
LY6397E is a fully integrated power management IC designed for Bluetooth charging cases. It integrates lithium battery charge management, a synchronous boost converter, battery fuel gauge, and protection function modules. The chip incorporates an input overvoltage protection circuit with an OVP threshold of 6.1V and a VIN input voltage rating of up to 30V. It also features adapter adaptive functionality to prevent charging failures or adapter damage caused by insufficient adapter output capability or excessive charging cable resistance. The chip supports direct Hall sensor drive control of the EN pin, enabling automatic headphone reconnection upon case opening, 8-second LED illumination on case opening, and automatic boost activation on case closure — all without requiring external MOSFETs, transistors, or other output circuit control components. Alternatively, an MCU can be used to control the EN pin for fast switching of the OUT output, enabling one-way communication between the charging case and headphones, likewise without requiring external control MOSFETs or current discharge MOSFETs.
