Introduction
The MC74VHC86 is an advanced high-speed CMOS 2-input exclusive-OR gate fabricated using silicon gate CMOS technology. It achieves high-speed operation comparable to equivalent bipolar Schottky TTL while maintaining the low power consumption characteristic of CMOS. The internal circuit consists of three stages, including a buffered output, providing high noise immunity and stable outputs. Inputs can withstand voltages up to 7V, allowing interfacing between 5V and 3V systems.
