Introduction
LHA7878H is a multichannel simultaneous sampling, 24-bit ADC with integrated PGA, internal voltage reference, and oscillator. The device is highly favored in industrial power monitoring and protection as well as test and measurement applications, owing to its wide dynamic range, scalable data throughput, and integrated fault detection and monitoring capabilities. Its true high-impedance input design allows direct connection to resistive divider networks or voltage transformers for line voltage measurement, or to current transformers or Rogowski coils for current measurement. With high integration and outstanding performance, the LHA7878H series enables scalable industrial power systems with significantly reduced size, power consumption, and overall cost. Each channel of the LHA7878H features a flexible input multiplexer that can be independently connected to internally generated signals for testing, temperature monitoring, and fault detection. Fault detection can be performed internally using integrated comparators with DAC-controlled threshold levels. The LHA7878H supports data rates up to 128kSPS. This complete analog front-end solution is available in an LQFP-64 package, rated for the industrial temperature range of −40°C to +105°C.
