Introduction
LHA6958D is a 16-bit, simultaneous sampling data acquisition system (DAS) featuring 8 channels, each with a built-in analog input clamp protection, programmable gain amplifier (PGA), low-pass filter, and 16-bit successive approximation register (SAR) ADC. The LHA6958D also integrates a flexible digital filter, a low-drift 2.5 V precision voltage reference and reference buffer (for driving the ADC), as well as flexible parallel and serial interfaces.
The LHA6958D operates from a single 5 V supply, supports throughput rates up to 500 KSPS across all channels simultaneously, and accommodates ±10 V and ±5 V true bipolar input ranges. The input clamp protection withstands voltages up to ±25 V. The LHA6958D features 1 MΩ analog input impedance. Single-supply operation, on-chip filtering, and high input impedance eliminate the need for external driver op-amps (which require bipolar supplies). For lower throughput applications, the LHA6958D's flexible digital filter can be used to improve noise performance.
The LHA6958D is fully compatible with the AD7606.
