Introduction
SN74HC123 is a high-speed silicon-gate CMOS device. The SN74HC123 is a dual retriggerable monostable multivibrator with three methods to control output pulse width: 1. Set the basic pulse by selecting external resistor (REXT) and capacitor (CEXT). 2. Once triggered, the basic output pulse width can be extended by retriggering via the active-LOW edge input (nA) or active-HIGH edge input (nB) of the gate. By repeating this process, the output pulse period (nQ = HIGH, nQ = LOW) can be extended to the desired length. Alternatively, the output delay can be terminated at any time by a LOW edge on input nRD, which also suppresses triggering. 3. The internal connection from nRD to the input gate allows the circuit to be triggered by a HIGH signal on input nRD.
