HGSEMI MAX490EIMM/TR

The MAX490E for RS-485/RS-422 communication is a high-speed full-duplex transceiver containing one driver and one receiver. It features ±15KV HBM ESD protection and a fail-safe circuit that ensures a logic-high receiver output when the receiver input is open or shorted. When all transmitters connected to a terminated bus are disabled (high-impedance), the receiver will output a logic high. The MAX490E incorporates a slew-rate-limited driver to reduce EMI and reflections caused by improperly terminated cables, enabling error-free data transmission at up to 1Mbps. In addition, the MAX490E receiver features 1/8 unit load input impedance, allowing up to 256 transceivers to be connected on the bus.
