The TJA1050T meets or exceeds the specifications required by the ISO 11898 standard for applications using CAN. As a CAN transceiver, the TJA1050T provides differential transmission and reception capabilities for CAN controllers at signal transfer rates up to 1 Mbps. The TJA1050T is designed for operation in harsh environments. Its bus pins feature ±12 kV ESD protection, support bus voltages from -58 V to 58 V, and incorporate built-in over-temperature and short-circuit protection circuits. The TJA1050T serves as an interface between the CAN protocol controller and the physical bus. It is primarily intended for high-speed automotive applications with baud rates ranging from 60 kbps to 1 Mbps. It provides differential transmission capability to the bus while delivering differential reception capability to the CAN protocol controller. It is fully compliant with the ISO 11898 standard. The TJA1050T CAN transceiver is a 5 V CAN transceiver that meets or exceeds the ISO 11898 standard specifications for CAN applications.
