Introduction
SC962X is a differential Hall-effect sensor IC with two integrated Hall sensing elements. By performing differential computation on the sensed magnetic fields, it achieves high sensitivity and large air-gap detection capability. The device can detect the motion of magnetic rings or ferromagnetic gears. It features a wide operating voltage range, a wide operating temperature range, excellent EMC robustness, and AEC-Q100 Grade 0 certification, making it well-suited for automotive speed sensing applications such as crankshaft sensors and transmission sensors. The SC9621 variant toggles its output at the zero-crossing of the differential magnetic field and incorporates built-in hysteresis to prevent false triggering, ensuring excellent repeatability and reliable accuracy. When used to detect ferromagnetic gears, the switching point is located at the tooth center. The SC9625 variant toggles when the differential magnetic field reaches positive or negative threshold levels, also delivering excellent repeatability and accuracy. When used to detect ferromagnetic gears, the switching point is located at the tooth edge. The device is available in a TO-94 package and features 100% lead-free matte tin plating.
