Introduction
The AD8236 is the lowest power instrumentation amplifier. It features rail-to-rail output and operates from supplies as low as 1.8 V. With a maximum supply current of 40 μA, the device is an excellent choice for battery-powered applications. High input impedance, low input bias current of 1 pA, high CMRR of 110 dB (G = 100), small footprint, and low power consumption make the AD8236 exceptionally versatile. It offers a wider common-mode voltage range than a typical three op amp instrumentation amplifier, making it ideal for applications powered by 1.8 V or 3 V supplies. The innovative input stage provides a wide rail-to-rail input voltage range without the crossover distortion common in other designs. The AD8236 is available in an 8-lead MSOP package and is rated over the -40°C to +125°C industrial temperature range.
