Introduction
AD8429 is an ultralow noise instrumentation amplifier designed to measure very small signals over a wide temperature range (-40°C to +125°C).
The AD8429 excels at measuring minute signals, delivering ultralow input noise of 1 nV/√Hz. Its high CMRR prevents interference from corrupting data acquisition. CMRR increases with gain, providing high rejection performance when it is needed most. The AD8429 features a high-performance pin configuration that maintains high CMRR performance reliably at frequencies well beyond those of typical instrumentation amplifiers.
The AD8429 reliably amplifies fast-changing signals. Its current feedback architecture delivers high bandwidth at high gain — for example, 1.2 MHz bandwidth at G = 100. The architecture also incorporates circuitry to improve settling time for large input transients. The AD8429 offers excellent distortion performance, making it suitable for demanding applications such as vibration analysis.
Gain is set with a single resistor over a range of 1 to 10,000. The reference pin allows the output voltage to be offset, which can be used to level-shift the output when interfacing with single-supply signal chains.
The AD8429 is rated over the -40°C to +125°C extended industrial temperature range and is available in an 8-lead plastic SOIC package.
