The RailClamp series is a family of ultra-low capacitance TVS devices designed to protect high-speed data interfaces. The series is specifically designed to protect sensitive components connected to high-speed data and transmission lines from overvoltage caused by ESD, cable discharge events (CDE), and EFT. The RClamp1521P features a maximum capacitance of only 0.5pF, enabling its use in circuits exceeding 3GHz without signal attenuation. These devices can be used to meet the ESD immunity requirements of IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 (±15kV air discharge, ±8kV contact discharge). The RClamp1521P is housed in a 2-pin, RoHS/WEEE-compliant SLP1006P2 package measuring 1.0×0.6×0.5mm. The pin pitch is 0.65mm with a lead-free surface finish. Each device protects a single high-speed line operating at 15 volts, giving designers the flexibility to protect individual lines in applications where arrays are not suitable. The combination of small size, low capacitance, and high ESD surge capability makes it ideal for applications such as mobile phones and high-power USB.
