Introduction
The CPC3720 is an N-channel depletion-mode FET fabricated using a proprietary third-generation vertical DMOS process. This third-generation process achieves high-voltage MOSFET performance in a cost-effective silicon-gate process. The vertical DMOS process yields a rugged device with high input impedance, suitable for high-power applications. The CPC3720 is a highly reliable FET device with extensive deployment in solid-state relays for industrial and telecommunications applications. The device excels in power applications requiring low drain-source resistance, particularly in cold environments such as automotive ignition modules. The CPC3720 offers a maximum on-resistance as low as 22Ω at 25°C. The CPC3720 features a minimum breakdown voltage of 350 Vp in an SOT-89 package. As with all MOS devices, the FET structure prevents thermal runaway and thermally induced secondary breakdown.
