The LM43602-Q1 regulator is an easy-to-use synchronous step-down DC/DC converter capable of driving load currents up to 2A, with an input voltage range of 3.5V to 36V (42V absolute maximum). The LM43602-Q1 delivers excellent efficiency, output accuracy, and dropout voltage in an extremely small solution size. The extended product family offers 0.5A, 1A, and 3A load current options in pin-to-pin compatible packages. Peak current mode control is employed for simplified control loop compensation and cycle-by-cycle current limiting. Optional features include programmable switching frequency, synchronization, power-good flag, precision enable, internal soft-start, adjustable soft-start and tracking, providing a flexible and easy-to-use platform for various applications with linear compensation for channel losses. Discontinuous conduction mode and automatic frequency modulation at light load improve light-load efficiency. This family requires minimal external components, and the pin arrangement enables simple, optimized PCB layout and routing. Protection features include thermal shutdown, VCC UVLO, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, and output short-circuit protection. The LM43602A-Q1 variant is optimized for PFM operation and is recommended for new designs. This device is pin-to-pin compatible with the LM4360x and LM4600x families.
