Introduction
The AD8029 (single), AD8030 (dual), and AD8040 (quad) are rail-to-rail input and output high-speed amplifiers with a quiescent current of only 1.3mA per amplifier. Despite their low power consumption, these amplifiers deliver excellent performance with a small-signal bandwidth of 125MHz and a slew rate of 60V/μs. ADI's proprietary XFCB process enables the combination of high speed, high performance, and low power consumption in these devices.
This amplifier family operates from a single supply with rail-to-rail input and output performance over a supply voltage range of 2.7V to 12V. The input voltage range can exceed either supply rail by 200mV without phase reversal. The output dynamic range extends to within 40mV of either supply rail.
The AD8029/AD8030/AD8040 deliver excellent signal quality at ultralow power consumption. At G = +1, spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) is 72dBc (1MHz), and 0.1% settling time is only 80ns. The low distortion and fast settling characteristics make these amplifiers well suited as drivers for single-supply ADCs.
The versatile feature set allows these amplifiers to be used across a wide voltage range while consuming less than 6.5mW. Whether in battery-powered systems demanding high bandwidth or high-speed systems with high component density and low power requirements, these characteristics help extend system operating time.
The AD8029/AD8030 are the only low-power, rail-to-rail input and output high-speed amplifiers available in the compact SOT23 and SC70 packages, rated over the extended industrial temperature range of −40°C to +125°C.
