Introduction
TMP112B is a high-accuracy, low-power digital temperature sensor designed as a drop-in replacement for NTC/PTC thermistors. It is suitable for extended temperature measurement in communications, computing, consumer electronics, environmental, industrial, and instrumentation applications. Over the normal operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, the TMP112B provides temperature accuracy of ≤0.5°C and excellent temperature linearity. The device supports an extended temperature measurement mode that expands the measurement range to -55°C to +150°C. The TMP112B is rated for an operating voltage range of 1.4V to 5.5V; across the full operating range at a temperature conversion rate of 4Hz, the maximum quiescent current is 10μA. The on-chip 12-bit ADC delivers resolution as low as 0.0625°C. The TMP112B is available in a SOT563 package, compatible with SMBus and I²C interfaces, and supports up to four devices on a single bus. The device also features SMBus alert functionality.
