Introduction
TM512-AL1 is a DMX512 differential parallel protocol LED driver IC, supporting selectable 1/2/3/4-channel high-precision constant current output with decode-and-forward capability. It converts signals to single-wire 800Kbps data output via the DO pin, with return-to-zero encoding. The DO output can directly control 800Kbps-rate ICs and forward up to 192 channels of data. The TM512-AL1 features precise DMX512 decoding technology, compatible with and extensible to DMX512 protocol signals. It provides fully adaptive decoding for DMX512 signals with transmission frequencies between 200Kbps and 500Kbps — no baud rate configuration required — with addressing capability up to 4096 channels. The TM512-AL1 integrates built-in E2PROM, eliminating the need for external components, while supporting online code writing. The IC provides 4 high-precision constant current output channels rated at 30V withstand voltage and up to 60mA, with output current set via a single external resistor. The TM512-AL1 features PWM inverted-polarity frequency-reduction output, suitable for driving external BJTs or MOSFETs for current expansion. High port refresh rate significantly improves frame refresh performance. The TM512-AL1 also supports shorting multiple constant current output channels to increase current drive capability. Primarily designed for architectural decorative and stage lighting LED illumination systems, any abnormality in a single IC does not affect the normal operation of other ICs, making maintenance simple and convenient.
