TPOWER TP8006

TP8006 is a step-down LED constant current driver operating in continuous inductor current mode, designed to efficiently drive one or more series-connected LEDs. The input voltage range is 5V to 30V, and the output current is externally adjustable up to 1.2A. TP8006 integrates an internal power transistor and employs a high-side current sensing scheme. The average LED output current can be set via an external resistor, and the DIM pin accepts both analog dimming and PWM dimming signals over a wide range. When the DIM pin voltage falls below 0.3V, the internal power transistor turns off and TP8006 enters a low-power standby mode. TP8006 incorporates an automatic temperature compensation control circuit. When the internal junction temperature exceeds 130°C, the LED output current gradually decreases as temperature rises, eventually stabilizing at a certain current level — eliminating the low-frequency LED flicker caused by conventional over-temperature protection. When the internal temperature rises to 150°C, the LED output current reduces to zero.
