Existar EX9510

Ex9510 is a synchronous rectifier switch with an integrated 100V breakdown voltage, 10mΩ low on-resistance power transistor. Designed for use on the secondary side of AC/DC flyback switching power supply transformers as a replacement for output rectifier diodes, it significantly improves conversion efficiency. The integrated high-voltage self-supply function eliminates the need for a transformer auxiliary winding; only a single 1uF external capacitor is required to power the IC, with a self-supply voltage of 7.7V. It can be flexibly placed at either the positive or negative output terminal of the transformer. The Ex9510 controls the turn-on and turn-off of the built-in MOSFET by sensing the VDS voltage. When VDS drops below -350mV, the MOSFET is turned on; the integrated dynamic drive function stabilizes VDS at approximately -40mV. When VDS rises above 0mV, the MOSFET is turned off. The built-in power transistor uses an SGT MOSFET, featuring lower gate capacitance for easier fast turn-off, effectively suppressing voltage spikes, reducing voltage stress, and improving reliability. An integrated resonant ringing voltage slew rate detection function prevents false turn-on due to resonant ringing. Compatible with high-frequency applications where the primary-side PWM controller uses GaN power devices. The synchronous rectifier switch features fast turn-off and supports DCM, QR quasi-resonant, and CCM operating modes.
