Introduction
AP1501 is a fixed 150kHz PWM DC-DC step-down regulator. The device delivers 3A output current with high efficiency, low output ripple, and excellent line and load regulation. Its PWM control architecture supports linear duty cycle adjustment from 0 to 100%. An on-chip fixed-frequency oscillator and frequency compensation circuit minimize the required external component count, simplifying application design. Additional features include enable control with hysteresis, over-temperature protection, overcurrent protection, and cycle-by-cycle overcurrent protection. When secondary overcurrent protection is triggered, an internal frequency reduction mechanism lowers the switching frequency from 150kHz to 50kHz.
