Introduction
The SN74LVC1G86 device performs the Boolean function Y = A̅B + AB̅ using positive logic. This single 2-input XOR gate is designed for operation over a VCC range of 1.65V to 5.5V. If one input is low, the other input can be reproduced in its true form at the output. If one input is high, the signal on the other input is reproduced in its complemented form at the output. This device features low power consumption, with a maximum tpd of 4ns at 3.3V and 15pF capacitive load. Maximum output drive is ±32mA/4.5V and ±24mA/3.3V. This device is fully compatible with partial power-down applications using Ioff. The Ioff circuit disables the outputs to prevent damaging current backflow when the device is powered down. XOR gates have a wide variety of applications, and some of these applications can be better represented using alternative logic symbols. There are five equivalent XOR gate symbols for the SN74LVC1G86 gate using positive logic; any two ports may reflect negative logic.
