The ISO772x devices are high-performance dual-channel digital isolators that offer isolation ratings of 5000V_RMS (DW and DWV packages) and 3000V_RMS (D package) in accordance with UL 1577 standards. These devices are also certified by VDE, TUV, CSA, and CQC. While isolating complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) or low-voltage complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (LVCMOS) digital I/Os, the ISO772x devices provide high electromagnetic immunity, low radiation, and low power consumption. Each isolation channel has a logic input and output buffer separated by a silicon dioxide (SiO₂) insulation barrier. The ISO7720 device has two non-inverting channels, while the ISO7721 device has two inverting channels. In the event of input power or signal loss, devices without the suffix F default to a high output, while those with the suffix F default to a low output. When used with an isolated power supply, these devices help prevent noise currents on the data bus or other circuits from entering the local ground and interfering with or damaging sensitive circuits. Thanks to the innovative chip design and wiring technology, the electromagnetic compatibility of the ISO772x devices is significantly enhanced, which can mitigate system-level ESD, EFT, and surge issues and comply with radiation standards. The ISO772x series devices are available in 16-pin SOIC wide-body (DW), 8-pin SOIC wide-body (DWV), and 8-pin SOIC narrow-body (D) packages.
