The TL331B and TL391B devices are the next-generation versions of the industry-standard TL331 comparator. The next-generation devices offer outstanding value for cost-sensitive applications. Their features include lower offset voltage, higher supply voltage capability, lower supply current, lower input bias current, lower propagation delay, a wider temperature range, and higher 2kV ESD performance, along with the convenience of direct replacement. The TL331B is a direct replacement for the improved versions of the TL331I and TL331K, while the TL391B offers an alternate pinout to the TL331B for replacing competing devices. Dual supplies can also be used if the voltage difference between the two supplies is in the range of 2V to 36V and VCC is at least 1.5V higher than the input common-mode voltage. The drain current is not affected by the supply voltage. The output can be connected to other open-collector outputs to implement a wired-AND relationship.
