Introduction
The TPS57160-Q1 is a 60V, 1.5A step-down regulator with an integrated high-side MOSFET. Current-mode control provides simple external compensation and flexible component selection. Low-ripple pulse-skip mode reduces no-load output supply current to 116μA. Using the enable pin, shutdown supply current is reduced to 1.5μA. The undervoltage lockout is internally set at 2.5V but can be raised using the enable pin. The output voltage startup ramp is controlled by the slow-start pin, which can also be configured to control power sequencing or tracking. An open-drain power-good signal indicates that the output is within 92% to 109% of its nominal voltage. The wide switching frequency range enables optimization of both efficiency and external component size. Frequency foldback and thermal shutdown provide component protection under overload conditions. The TPS57160-Q1 is available in a 10-pin thermally enhanced MSOP PowerPAD™ (DGQ) or a 10-pin small-outline no-lead (SON) (DRC) package.
