Introduction
The LP38690/2-ADJ low-dropout CMOS linear regulator offers 2.0% precision reference voltage, ultra-low dropout (450mV at 1A load current with V = 5V), and excellent AC performance with ultra-low ESR ceramic output capacitors. The low thermal resistance of the WSON and SON-223 packages enables full operating current even at elevated ambient temperatures. The use of a PMOS power transistor eliminates the need for DC base drive current biasing, keeping ground pin current below 100μA regardless of load current, input voltage, or operating temperature. Dropout voltage: 450mV (typical) at 1A (typical 5V output). Ground pin current: 55μA (typical) at full load. Adjust pin voltage: 2.0% accuracy (25°C). V output = VADJ x (1 + R1/R2)* Minimum value required for stability.
