Introduction
The TPS22919-Q1 is a small, single-channel load switch with controlled slew rate. The device integrates an N-channel MOSFET that operates over an input voltage range of 1.6V to 5.5V and supports a maximum continuous current of 1.5A. The switch on-state is controlled by a digital input that can be directly interfaced with low-voltage control signals. At initial power-up, the device uses an intelligent pull-down resistor to keep the ON pin from floating until system sequencing is complete. Once the pin is intentionally driven high, the intelligent pull-down resistor is disconnected to prevent unnecessary power dissipation. The TPS22919-Q1 load switch is also self-protected, meaning it can protect itself against short-circuit events on the device output. It also features thermal shutdown to prevent damage due to overheating. The TPS22919-Q1 is available in a standard SC-70 package with an operating junction temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
