Introduction
The TLV710 and TLV711 series dual-channel, low-dropout (LDO) linear voltage regulators are low quiescent current devices with excellent line input voltage and load transient response performance. These LDOs are specifically designed for power-sensitive applications. These devices offer a typical accuracy of 2% over the entire temperature range. The TLV711 series provides an active pull-down circuit to quickly discharge the output. Additionally, the TLV711 - D device series also has a pull-down resistor on the EN pin. This design helps to disable the device when the signal driving the EN pin is in a weak, indeterminate state (e.g., a processor GPIO that may be in a tri-state during startup). The pull-down resistor can pull the voltage on the EN pin down to 0V, thereby disabling the device. The TLV710 and TLV711 series come in a 1.5mm x 1.5mm SON - 6 package and are well-suited for handheld applications.
Features
- Ultra-low dropout voltage:
- 150mV (at Iout = 200mA and VOUT = 2.8V)
- 75mV (at Iout = 100mA and VOUT = 2.8V)
- 40mV (at Iout = 50mA and VOUT = 2.8V)
- 2% accuracy over full temperature range
- Low IQ: 35μA per regulator
- Multiple fixed output voltage combinations: 1.2V to 4.8V
- High PSRR: 70dB (at 1kHz)
- Stable with 0.1μF effective capacitance
- Overcurrent and thermal protection
- Dedicated VREF per output minimizes crosstalk
- 1.5mm x 1.5mm SON-6 package
Applications
- Wireless headphones
- Smartphones
- Portable audio players
- Other handheld products
